The end to another great week

Here we are at the last week in January. On month down and about four more to go. And one and a few weeks till spring break. I am looking forward to spring break but only to go home and see my family. I'm not at the point were I want to go to some tropical climate every spring break. I'm waiting for a big trip at the end of my four year: Senegal, Africa.

I started back to my work study job this week. I now will be working on Tuesdays and Fridays. I love work and my boss. The only thing that is complex about working and going to class and finding time for homework is having that extra time to do as I please. I love Yoga and the student center here offers free classes. The problem is that the classes are on Tuesdays at 5, which is right before my night class. I would try to still go but Yoga runs at least a full hour and I don't want to rush or be late to my class. Sometimes it's about sacrifice and time management.

For my weekends I have already come up with a system. My weekends are a little different this semester. Last term my classes only went till Thursday, so my weekend started early. Now that I have a Friday class my weekend starts at regular time. Once out of class I give myself that day and sometimes night (after work of course) to wined  down and maybe go out. Starting Saturday morning I get straight to homework staring with whatever is due Monday morning. I work at this pace so that I can get both my two classes on Monday homework out the way then  a least my two morning Tuesday classes out the way. This gives me more time during the week to relax and focus on other things instead of worrying about doing my homework the night before class.

Well the system works. Today I am working on Tuesday's homework and I have a lot so I should go.

The end of the first week

Good morning my fellow students. This beautiful Sunday marks the completion of my first week back to school. I must say that already my spring semester is shaping up to be wonderful. Even though I am now taking 18 credits my schedule is pretty much the same as last semester. The only thing new is my night class and Friday morning class. I think i'm going to enjoy each and every class, teacher and my classmates.

This weekend I did not go out much but I did let loose one night. A little celebration is always fine if you do not over do it. My motto is that if my homework is done I can do anything. It's important to work first then play. I'm always thinking ahead so I try to get as much work done as possible in order of due dates.

MY ADVICE: Always do your homework in the order of your class schedule. You don't want to be doing your Friday once a week class homework before the homework that is due on Monday. This of course does  not apply to longer assignments that may need more time.

I wish you all the best of luck. Make your college experience custom, it's all about you and your success.

Right in the middle of week 1

Welcome my fellow students to a new year and semester. I look forward to sharing my college experience and in return getting feedback and comments from my readers.

Let me re-introduce myself. I'm Ciera J Onley or CJ. I am a first year student at Point Park University and this is my second semester. I am beyond excited for my classes and all my new duties this year. I will be taking some very interesting classes this term. I start taking my minor requirement classes, which is global cultural studies in addition to my journalism major. Also, I am taking a French class which I haven't done since high school but I have high hopes. Along with these classes I have extra activities to look forward to. Last semester I was elected as black student union's sectary which means I get to put my note taking skills to good use. Also, I am participating in the ELS programs by taking on a conversation partner. I truly enjoy talking with and befriending people from different backgrounds. Lastly I will continue to work as an office assistant in the honors program office. Just call me a busy bee. However I do plan to update this blog regularly. I hope to have a new entry at least once a week.

Wishing you all a great spring term
 Peace ♥ and textbooks
